Terra Ask has no accounts and keeps no record of what you ask. Your conversation lives in your browser tab and is gone when you close it.

When you ask something

  • Your question, the conversation so far in that tab, and the address of the wallet you connected (if any) are sent to our server and from there to Anthropic, which runs the AI model, so that it can answer. We do not store or log them. Anthropic processes them under its commercial terms and its privacy policy.
  • Do not put anything private in a question that you would not want a service provider to process. Never paste a recovery phrase or private key.
  • To stop one visitor from asking without limit, a one-way hash of your IP address is counted for up to a day, and a one-way hash of your latest question is kept for five minutes so the same question cannot be sent over and over. Neither the address nor the question itself is kept. The hosting firewall also counts requests per address and per browser type to stop floods.

Reading the chain

Balances, prices and positions are read from Terra through public endpoints (PublicNode, Polkachu, Cosmos Directory and Stakely), from our server and from your browser. They see an IP address, as any website does. Everything they return is public on the chain.

Your wallet

  • Terra Ask never sees your keys. Your wallet (Keplr) signs, and has its own privacy policy.
  • On a phone, connecting Keplr Mobile from another browser goes through WalletConnect’s relay, which has its own privacy policy.
  • The address of the wallet you last connected is kept in your browser, so the page can show it; disconnecting removes it.
  • Transactions you approve are public and permanent on Terra, as every transaction is.

Speaking instead of typing

The microphone button uses your browser’s own speech recognition. Depending on the browser, the audio may be sent to its maker (for example Google in Chrome) to be turned into text. Nothing is recorded unless you press the button.

Cookies and hosting

  • Before each approval the page checks your country; the answer is kept in two cookies for a day. There are no other cookies and no analytics.
  • The typeface is served from this site, so opening a page sends your address to no one else.
  • The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps short-lived request logs (including IP addresses) to run and protect the service.
